Lidia Fiorini was born in Florence (Italy) in 1963. She graduated in Architecture at the University of Florence with a thesis on The Laapersveld draining plant in the context of W. M. Dudok architecture. Philological perspectives and conservation problems of a "modern monument" in Netherlands. She works as self-employed architect dealing on conservation. She acquired a strong work experience both in direct survey and in geomatic techniques as laser scanning and photogrammetry. She collaborates on architectural and archaeological surveys and other activities held by GeCo Laboratory of University of Florence. For 2011-2012 she's a grant researcher on the topic "3D survey and structural analyses. Optimization of an operating protocol".
