Federico Frassy was born in Aosta (Italy) in 1978. He achieved the M.S. degree (Laurea) in Environmental Sciences at University of Parma with a thesis on classification and evaluation of main tree species of Mont Avic Park through hyperspectral images. He also worked on classification of main grass species on the same Park and identification of asbestos roofs on the entire Aosta Valley with multispectral high-resolution and hyperspectral images. Since 2010 Federico has worked as research assistant for L@RS. His main research fields include satellite and airborne remote sensing, multispectral and hyperspectral data, vegetation, thematic classification and GIS.
